Group Product Manager

Our client are a leading health-tech company, and they are looking for a Group Product Manager to join their growing team. 
 
Their technology team is data led and agile, with squads of product managers, designers, data scientists and product engineers collaborating to solve the big changes facing the sector. 
 
You will be responsible for driving and executing their product vision and strategy for a tribe of 3-4 squads. You will set the bar in terms of product excellence, vision and clarity of thinking.

  • Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer

They are looking for an outstanding talent indexing to the following key disciplines:

 

  • Growth - You will partner with a C level executive to drive your tribe towards a growth target. After aligning with the business strategy, you will cascade a clear vision to your squads and help them build aligned roadmaps.

  • Technical Leadership - Partnering with customer experience (CX), engineering, IT and data leaders to build a strong and aligned technical leadership team.

  • People Leadership - Managing a team of 1-2 Product Managers today, but scaling the team and squads quickly to 3-4. Driving a culture of accountability and responsibility to achieve ambitious goals.

  • Cross-functional Communication - Role modelling excellent internal stakeholder management internally, personifying a product lead culture.

  • Product Rigour - Driving product velocity by developing ways of working, product tool sets and a culture of accountability and rapid experimentation

  • Problem solving - Disrupting a traditional market, by taking the numerous and changing problems and turning that ambiguity into structure and execution

  • Commercial acumen - Commercially astute investment prioritisation to ensure that we maximize our return on that investment across the short term, growth and transformational time horizons.

  • Marketplace dynamics - Thought leader on marketplace dynamics in the business, understanding what are the key levers of growth.

  • Passion - Bringing a culture of rallying the product squads to work together and cross-functionally, making sure everyone is aligned around our customer’s goals

Who are they looking for?

  • 3-5 years experience in a Group or Principal Product leadership role

  • You are a disciplined entrepreneur, knowing when to invest in structured product discovery versus when to do rapid experimentation

  • You take great pride in cherishing, nurturing, stretching, coaching and honing great product managers - knowing when to shield and when to drop in the deep end.

  • You set clear goals and measure key results; adjusting course deliberately and communicating clearly.

  • You have practical experience applying thought leading SaaS and/or marketplace monetisation, retention and growth models

  • You have developed and advocated for a product led growth vision and roadmap in an ambiguous and fast growing scale-up environment

  • You seek to understand the problem for the immediate customer, are passionate about their feedback, and can synthesise with the business context and strategy

  • You manage stakeholders in all directions - up, down and sideways

  • You have a passion for our purpose and the goals of our customers
